Personality Profile

Strengths Disciplined & Methodical – His training at the Laikan Military Academy and service in the Mechanical Brigade instilled precision and rigor in his work.

Resilient Under Pressure – Thrives in harsh conditions (Andoria’s frozen tundras prepared him well) and keeps a cool head in crisis.

Loyal to Tradition & Heritage – Deeply tied to Andorian identity, he upholds discipline, ritual, and honor, which make him a figure of respect among his peers.

Problem-Solver – Prefers practical solutions and is rarely paralyzed by indecision, even when the “by-the-book” approach isn’t working.
Weaknesses Reluctant Posting – Resents being “pulled” from Andorian Space Central and feels sidelined, which can bleed into frustration or stubbornness.

Blunt & Confrontational – Lacks subtlety in communication; can come across as abrasive or dismissive, particularly with humans.

Isolated Mindset – While technically an exchange officer, he identifies more with the Andorian Guard than Starfleet, which can create tension with crew integration.

Honor-Bound – His strong sense of personal and cultural honor sometimes clouds his judgment, leading him to take unnecessary risks to “prove” himself.
Hobbies & Interests Choral Singing – Though he wouldn’t advertise it, Jekebb has a strong baritone voice and enjoys traditional Andorian work songs, which he sometimes hums while repairing systems.

Ice Climbing – When able, he visits Andorian ice caverns and glaciers for solo climbs, both for the physical challenge and the comfort of familiarity.

Historical poetry Texts – An avid reader of poet's personal journals as well as their published works. He enjoyed reading about their internal process as much as he enjoyed the beauty they put out for others.

Personal History

Homeworld Andor
Pre-Academy Life Jekebb was born in the historic Laikan City, the jewel of Andoria and its military capital. The district in which the Bari clan resided was home to ancient bloodlines, storied houses, and families whose histories were etched into the foundation of the Imperial Guard itself. From his earliest days, Jekebb was reminded that his life was not fully his own, he was to be both a weapon and a banner, an example of discipline and strength to uphold the Bari name.

From a young age, Jekebb idolized his thavan’s service in the Guard. Even when the man’s stern discipline became suffocating, the sight of Therris in uniform, commanding with effortless authority, captured the boy’s imagination. It seemed inevitable that Jekebb would pursue a career in service to Andoria. At seventeen, with his thavan’s influence securing his admission, Jekebb entered the Laikan Military Academy.

At the Academy, Jekebb distinguished himself not by sheer brilliance, but by his tireless discipline and unwavering sense of duty. He focused on the Engineering track. It was a discipline he found both intellectually challenging and personally rewarding. The intricacies of machinery, warp dynamics, and the design philosophy of Andorian vessels appealed to his mind in a way that strategy and politics never could. His instructors noted his precision, his refusal to leave a system imperfect, and his ability to weld theory with practical application.

Graduation, however, was marred by personal tragedy. News came of his shreya Avaran’s death in a construction incident, a devastating blow to the family. Jekebb longed to return home to stand beside his bondmates in grief, but Therris commanded otherwise. “The Guard must come before even grief,” his thavan told him and so, instead of attending his shreya’s funeral rites, Jekebb donned his cadet’s uniform and accepted his commission. The bitterness of that moment never fully left him, carving into him the belief that the Guard demands sacrifice without reprieve.

Commissioned as a Soldier in the Mechanical Brigade of the Andorian Imperial Guard, Jekebb was assigned to the IAS Delar, where he cut his teeth as a junior engineer. For two years, he laboured in the heart of the ship’s engines, taking every opportunity to expand his knowledge. His diligence was rewarded with promotion to 3rd Lieutenant. His second posting, aboard the IAS Shilev, saw him serving as Deputy Engineer during a long deep-space patrol. For four years, Jekebb lived among the stars, proving himself as a capable officer and a meticulous leader of soldiers.

Following that assignment, he was transferred to Andorian Space Central, a massive orbital facility above Andoria. There, he oversaw the Refit Department as one of the station’s Deputy Engineers, coordinating the delicate ballet of repairing, upgrading, and launching Guard vessels. It was work of tremendous responsibility, requiring a steady hand and the ability to balance the needs of engineers, officers, and Parliament directives alike.

By the time he turned 27, Jekebb’s path seemed fixed. Steady advancement in the Guard, a career molded in the image of his thavan. But General Therris had other designs. With the Coalition of Planets strengthening ties between Andoria and its allies, Therris saw an opportunity to extend his clan’s influence beyond Andoria itself. Without Jekebb’s consent, his thavan volunteered him as an exchange officer aboard the Earth vessel Challenger NX-03.
