“New year, new ship, and we’re finally through launch prep. I’d planned to get everyone down to Cebu for New Year’s Eve, but duty had other ideas. Can’t fault that the Challenger needed every hand to get ready. Still… feels like we should mark the start of the year somehow.

So tonight’s the night. Karaoke in Cebu. Might not be midnight fireworks, but we’ll make our own noise. Sent out invites to the senior staff. Even if only a couple show, it’ll be worth it. We earned it.”
